Noora Mänty is a Finnish curator, cultural producer, and visual artist based in Portugal. With a background in photography and over a decade of experience in the arts, her work focuses on curatorial practice, cultural management, and collaborative visual storytelling across disciplines and geographies.
She currently serves as Gallery Director at Galeria da Estação in Braga, where she oversees curatorial programming, institutional partnerships, and a diverse public program ranging from exhibitions to workshops and live events. In 2023, she worked as Festival Director of Encontros da Imagem, one of Europe’s leading photography festivals, coordinating its international program and team operations.
In 2020, she founded Gallery Quiosque, a public-facing curatorial project that transforms a disused newspaper kiosk into a public exhibition space, aimed at expanding access to contemporary art through everyday encounters. Her independent work includes producing visual content and cultural projects for NGOs, artists, and institutions across Portugal, the UK, and Finland.
Noora’s approach to curatorship is rooted in accessibility, experimentation, and cross-cultural dialogue. She is especially drawn to projects that create space for underrepresented voices and reimagine how art can exist within the public sphere.
She speaks Finnish, English, and Portuguese, and works internationally across multiple cultural contexts.
